This is a singular piece, though it is also a prototype of a component of a larger piece. The larger piece would be comprised of around 15 of these forms, all connected via their rounded parts with their points directed inwards.
This sculpture will be around 30” tall and comprised of the following: brass rod, thread, wood dowels, metal rings, cloth, long grass, cheesecloth, cotton, shellac, and resin.
‘house’ will be approximately 3.5’ tall. Designs are complete and materials have been acquired.

This sketch is watercolor pencil on watercolor paper. I created this as a classroom example at school. The sculptural version will be comprised of chicken wire, dowels, and shellac. It will be approximately 3.5’ in diameter and 5” deep.

Wood, chicken wire, cheesecloth, paper, shellac, hot glue, and resin.
16 x 12 x 4 inches

This is a prototype of the components for the modular installation planned for a solo exhibition at Sumter County Gallery of Art. I will create around 200 of these.

This is from my move out day from the vacant retail space I used the summer of 2023.
